How to Download Your Instagram Data

To use this analyzer, you'll need to download your personal data from Instagram as a ZIP file. This includes your posts, reels, likes, comments, followers, and more. Instagram provides an official way to request and download this data, which can take up to 48 hours (or sometimes longer, up to 14-30 days for larger accounts). The data will be sent via email with a download link that's valid for 4 days. You can choose HTML format for easier viewing or JSON for structured data.

Using the Instagram Mobile App (Recommended for Most Users)

1. Open the Instagram app on your iPhone or Android device.
2. Tap your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
3. Tap the three horizontal lines (menu) in the top right.
4. Tap Your activity (or Settings and activity on some versions).
5. Scroll down and tap Download your information.
6. If prompted, select your Instagram account and tap Next.
7. Choose what to download: Complete copy (all data) or Some of your information (specific items like posts or messages).
8. Select Download to device (to save directly) or Transfer a copy (to another service).
9. Customize options: Enter or confirm your email, choose format (HTML for readability), media quality, and date range (e.g., all time).
10. Tap Create files or Submit request.

Instagram will email you when the file is ready. Check your spam folder if needed. Download the ZIP file from the link in the email.

Using a Web Browser (Desktop or Mobile)

1. Go to www.instagram.com in your browser and log in.
2. Click your profile icon in the top right.
3. Click Settings (gear icon).
